Timberline Cabins
A Legacy of Retreat: Our Journey to Timberline Cabins
Timberline Cabins has been under new ownership since January 2023, now managed by my husband and me. Let me start with a bit of backstory that led me here. In 2006, God whispered a dream into my heart — a vision of a retreat where people could pause from their hectic daily lives. I was particularly inspired to serve those who dedicate themselves to helping others. Reflecting on this, I realize how my father had sown these seeds in me.
Growing up as the youngest of six children, luxury vacations, like beach trips, weren't part of my childhood. Instead, what I treasured was our family cabin in Tionesta, Pennsylvania. My parents built it from second-hand materials, a humble place without running water, rustic but rich in beautiful memories. I remember how my father would generously offer the cabin keys to complete strangers if he felt they needed a sanctuary to unwind.
So, when I felt called in 2006, I understood it as not only embracing my divine purpose but also continuing my father's legacy. It's a dual heritage I am honored to uphold, in memory of both my earthly and heavenly Fathers.
