The Transformation of Broken Timbers

Where Peace Took Root:

The Transformation of Broken Timbers

Tucked into the hills near Salt Fork, there stood a lodge called Broken Timbers. For years, it was the heartbeat of the business.  When Timberline Cabins came under new ownership a couple of years ago, Broken Timbers came with it. What we didn’t know then was how deeply God would use this place.

From the moment we stepped onto the property, we sensed something sacred about it. Though the name carried weight—brokenness, wear, and time—we saw potential. Not just for restoration, but for something deeper.

We believe that names hold power. In Scripture, names often marked a turning point, a new identity, or a divine calling. So after much renovation and the Holy Spirit leading, Broken Timbers was given a new name: Peaceful Pines Lodge.

This wasn’t a marketing move—it was a spiritual step. We wanted the name to speak life over the lodge and all who enter it, carrying the theme throughout Timberline as a whole. Where there once was brokenness, may there now be rest. Where there once was weariness, may there be renewal. Peaceful Pines stands as a declaration: the old has passed, and the new has come.

Welcome to Peaceful Pines Lodge

Nestled on over 13 acres of peaceful woodland, Peaceful Pines Lodge is more than a retreat—it’s a refuge. Every board, every beam has been part of its transformation. It’s rustic, yet welcoming. Simple, yet full of warmth.

Here’s what makes this place special:

  • A Sacred Quiet
Surrounded by trees and wildlife, Peaceful Pines offers a stillness that invites you to breathe deep and rest well.
  • A Lodge for Horse Lovers
Designed with horse lovers in mind, the space is filled with rustic décor that tells a story—of wood, weather, and wonder. Rocking chairs on the wrap-around porch are waiting for slow mornings and deep conversations.
  • Creation All Around
Deer wander nearby, a quiet pond invites you to fish, and the deck overlooks open fields where the sky stretches wide.
  • Equestrian, Fishermen, and Pet Friendly
With ample parking for horse trailers and fishing boats, the lodge is ready for your outdoor lifestyle. Freshly built paddock areas and a rentable round pen offer your horses a comfortable place within view of the lodge.  We are minutes from the Salt Fork bridle trails and marinas that have vast wilderness for you to explore.

At Peaceful Pines, every trail has been walked with prayer, every room covered with blessing, and every threshold anointed. This land has been surrendered to the Lord, and our deepest hope is that when you step onto it, you feel more than just quiet—you feel His presence.

We pray this is a place where heaven touches earth. A place where the weight you carry is lifted, where your soul can breathe again, and where the peace of God that passes all understanding gently settles over you.

So come. Slow down. Let the wind in the pines and the stillness of creation speak to your spirit. May you encounter the One who brings true rest—and leave more whole, more healed, and more at peace than when you came.
