You will receive an email in advance of your stay with additional information including the digital keycode to gain access to your getaway.
How do I book a stay?

Reservations are not considered guaranteed until a signed rental agreement and full payment are received.

Guests who purchased Travel Protection file their claim with the third party themselves.

House rules
Are parties allowed?
No. There is zero tolerance regarding parties; they are strictly forbidden. An automatic $500 fine will be charged for violating house rules and for any damages that occur. The sheriff will be called and you will be asked to leave the property immediately. There are security cameras at the entrances of the driveways to our units.
Can I have extra guests or visitors?
Please limit occupancy to the cabin maximum and only paid-for guests. No additional visitors are permitted on the property unless approved by the property manager. Failure to comply results in a charge for the unregistered guests, and guests will be asked to leave the property immediately without a refund.
Is there a quiet time?
Yes. Please observe a 10:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. quiet time and be considerate of your neighbors. Many guests come to relax and enjoy getting away from the noise.
Can I smoke at the cabin?
We do not permit smoking inside any of our properties. Smoking is permitted on the decks and grounds; please extinguish all cigarettes in ashtrays and dispose of them properly. Guests who do not abide by this will be charged $100 for the removal of smoke smell plus any other damage or clean-up costs. No use of marijuana or illegal substances is permitted anywhere on the premises.
What do I need to do before checking out?
Wash dirty dishes (a $25 fee is charged for unwashed dishes), put indoor trash in the outdoor trash bin, turn the thermostat to 65 in winter or 75 in summer, and lock the door.
What happens if something is damaged?
You are responsible for furniture tears, stains, breaks or any damage during your stay, including replacing the item and the cost of labor, and for replacing anything lost or stolen. Stains that cannot be removed after laundering are charged as a replacement: $60 for a king, $50 for a queen and $40 for a twin. We attempt to handle these situations as cost effectively as possible.
Pets
Are the cabins pet friendly?
Yes. Well-mannered and housebroken dogs or cats of 80 lbs. or less are welcome, with a maximum of two pets per cabin.
Is there a pet fee?
The pet fee is $100 per cabin. An additional $50 is charged for picking up droppings or excessive hair if you neglect to do so.
What are the rules for pets during our stay?
Pets must be leashed at all times for their safety and our neighbors’ privacy, and are not to be left unattended inside the property unless crated. Excessive barking will result in guests being asked to leave out of respect for our neighbors. If your pet is a couch dweller, please bring towels or sheets to cover couches and beds. You are responsible for the cost and labor to replace any item chewed by your pet. Pets are not allowed in the hot tubs.
Hot tubs and outdoors
Do all of the cabins have hot tubs?
Yes. Each cabin, cottage and lodge has its own private hot tub, cleaned between reservations. Because the water is refilled, it may still be warming when you arrive, so the tub might not be ready to use immediately upon check in.
How many people can use the hot tub?
No more than four guests at a time, or six at Birmingham, Peaceful Pines, Hillside Hideaway and Hunters Haven. There is no drinking or eating in the hot tub and no glass in the hot tub area. Please turn off the lights and replace the cover when you are finished, and keep children’s toys and pets out of the tub.
Can we have a campfire and use the grill?
Yes, with extreme caution. Never leave a fire unattended; if a fire gets out of control you are personally and financially responsible for any damages. Flame suppressant spray is at each grilling station and fire extinguishers are inside the cabins. Use the ash buckets for charcoal only and never throw charcoal into the woods.
Can we hunt or fish on the property?
No hunting is allowed on the property and no processing of animals inside cabins. Deer may be hung from surrounding trees, but carcasses must be properly removed and disposed of by the guest. Fishing is permitted on a catch and release basis; there is no boating or swimming in the ponds. Take extreme caution near any body of water; life preservers are provided.
What is provided
What is included in the cabins?
Bed linens plus extra linens for additional sleeping arrangements; refrigerator, stove, microwave, drip coffeepot, coffee filters, toaster, dishes, utensils, pots and pans, kitchen dish towel, dish cloth, dish soap, trash bags and basic seasonings; TV with Roku, Wi-Fi, ceiling fans, central air and furnace; complimentary bath toiletries, toilet paper, bath towel, wash rag and hot tub towel; and a bonfire pit, picnic table, charcoal grill and hot tub.
What should I bring?

What if something stops working during our stay?
It is our goal to have everything functioning during your stay, but things do break down or malfunction. There are no refunds due to issues beyond our control; we respond as quickly as we can to make reasonable repairs. Our phones are not monitored 24 hours a day, so texting 740-432-9662 is the best way to reach us during your stay.
Groups and area
How many guests can you accommodate?
Individual cabins and cottages sleep six to eight guests. Hunters Haven Lodge sleeps 14 in three bedrooms, and groups often book several units on the same property so everyone has private space while staying steps apart.
Do you host retreats or group events?
Yes. Our lodges and multiple-cabin bookings work well for family reunions, wedding parties and retreats, including the Camp H.O.P.E. retreats we host. Call or text 740-432-9662 to talk through dates.
Can I bring a horse?
Horse stalls at Peaceful Pines Lodge are available for an additional fee with the rental of that unit.
What is there to do nearby?
Salt Fork State Park has an 18 hole golf course, marinas with pontoon rentals, one of Ohio’s largest inland beaches, roughly 14 hiking trails, and fishing and hunting areas. See Salt Fork Lake activities and Atwood Lake activities.
